It's my birthday!

How do you celebrate you?

January is a special month for many reasons. It’s the start of a new year, a fresh opportunity for growth, and, for me personally, it’s the month I celebrate my birthday. As I reflect on another year of life, I’ve been thinking a lot about the rituals that help me reset, honor myself, and prepare for the next chapter of my journey.

A part of my birthday ritual every year is setting intentions, creating space for healing, and celebrating the love I have for myself. I wanted to share some of these practices with you in case they inspire you to start your own meaningful rituals for the year ahead.

My Birthday Rituals

  1. A Limpieza to Clear for My New Year
I always begin by doing a Limpieza—a deep cleansing to release any lingering energy, limiting beliefs, or past experiences that might be weighing me down. This helps me create a fresh, open space for the new year ahead. I find that it gives me a sense of renewal and clarity as I move forward.

  2. A New Tattoo as a Gift to Myself
Getting a new tattoo is one of my personal ways to mark the passing of time and honor my journey. It’s more than just body art; it’s a physical representation of my growth and evolution. Each tattoo tells a story of my path, my lessons, and my commitments to myself.

  3. Filling My Cup
The rest of the day is dedicated to filling my cup—doing the things that bring me joy, peace, and grounding. I spend time in nature, meditate, journal, and simply allow myself to be present. This is my way of nurturing myself, giving thanks for the life I have, and setting intentions for the year ahead.

  4. A Simple, Meaningful Dinner
In the evening, I either cook a special meal for my wife, Nancy, and I, or we go out to a favorite spot. It’s always a simple, loving meal—because sometimes the most sacred rituals are the most intimate ones, shared with the people who matter most.

Celebrating You & Your Journey

Your own rituals don’t have to be complex or grand—sometimes the simplest practices are the most meaningful. I encourage you to take time this month to reflect on your intentions for the new year. What do you want to shed? What energy do you want to create space for? And most importantly, how can you show up for yourself in ways that nourish your soul?

Whether it’s through a Limpieza, a Past Life Journey, or simply taking time to rest and recharge, remember that the most important part of any ritual is honoring YOU.

Thank you for being part of this beautiful community. I’m excited for what this year holds for all of us as we continue to shed old patterns, embrace our higher selves, and step into the fullness of who we are meant to be.

Have a peaceful day,
Gianna
